Method & evidence

Methodology

The pipeline uses local birth-place resolution, strict civil-time validation, IANA timezone rules, historical UTC offsets, coordinates, longitude correction, and equation-of-time adjustment before the calendrical adapter. Birth data stays in the browser and is never placed in the URL.

Inputs stay in this browser and are never placed in URLs, sent to analytics, or stored in the cloud by default.

Frequently asked questions

Why is an IANA timezone required?
Historical offsets and DST affect local civil time; a fixed UTC+8 assumption is not sufficient.
Are solar-term boundaries fully verified?
The current version flags a ±5 minute boundary; full astronomical Golden Source coverage is still in progress.
