Feng Shui · Annual Flying Stars

Nine stars, one vocabulary for reading the annual grid

The annual grid shows where 1–9 land in a Feng Shui year. This library explains the names, elements, trigrams, inherited themes, and limits attached to those numbers within traditional Xuan Kong Flying Stars.

Begin with the engine-calculated annual positions, then open a star profile. The meanings describe a traditional system; they do not predict events in a property.

Move from Lo Shu number to traditional identity

01

01 · Fixed identity

Number, colour name, element, and trigram form the stable identity; Five Yellow has no separate trigram and is shown by its central-palace association.

02

02 · Period context

Timely and retired are school terms within a twenty-year cycle, not empirical evidence of cause and effect.

03

03 · One annual layer

An annual star is only one layer of a property chart; it cannot replace facing, building period, natal stars, surrounding form, or actual use.
